8th birthday for our girl Skye today. Not impressed with a week of wet weather, 3 weeks without the boss lady and little boss lady, and not being allowed in the house overnight (although it does stop her barking at the foxes...)

I don't think she's really moved from where she was asleep last night when I threw the grey bit of bed around her (and dumped a load of loose hair on her)

Billy is equally curled up, and unimpressed:

What breed are these pups? I ask because they look similar to my Doc.

Collie X Kelpie, pretty much 50/50 for Skye, and a bit more Kelpie for Billy, as we put a 100% Kelpie over Skye to get him.

Skye's Kelpie line were Trial Dogs (so ran along the sheeps back, which kept them light), whilst Billy's Dad was cattle working Kelpies so a bit thicker set than Skye. He was a red dog but threw tricolours of various degrees, mainly black and tan with a bit white here and there. Both ours have black speckled chests, but none of the others do.

These associations we have with our pups is always a heartwarming experience. I was going through a ton of photos trying to get rid of some of the 28000+ on my iPhone/ipad and ran across this one of my grandson and Bella(RIP)…Still not sure who is teaching whom. This the picture says it all
