Does anyone know when the 2020 Heritage Edition will actually hit dealers?

I doubt the Heritage Edition-specific parts will be available for sale separately to the general public... at least, not yet.

Toyota first needs to put out a PANT bulletin deciphering and delineating availability of the parts and their differences.

These parts will most likely be manually allocated (read: controlled) by VIN and situation warranting the need for the part.

This is true. I asked about buying a set of bronze BBS wheels straight from the source and was shut down fast and was told to try later.

Personally, I think the BBS rims look better in black anyway, but to each his own.

I agree.

I just thought a set of bronze would look good on my black Tundra to avoid the overdone blacked out look that is all the rage these days.

Edit: I can not and will not sell BBS wheels or any wheels at all. Contact your dealer, parts guy, or search online for a used set. Please do not message me asking if I will sell them.

I have had a blacked out RR and a blacked out 200 LX. I mean, everything black. I got tired of the blacked out look. However, after 3 years of driving a chrome bling lookin' LC, I just ordered a white one with black trim. That way it at least has some definition. In your case, I agree, the bronze rims would look good on the black truck.

Eric used the VIN from a heritage. There is a problem with Toyota coding in the heritage catalog. He ordered a Heritage grill and regular grill. They both came as regular grills. The Heritage catalog actually has the wrong grill shown on it

That is unfortunate. I would love to have the OEM for my lc20 but may have to order the Chinese knock off again. Here it is a picture of the one I had on LC16. Quality was pretty good, but had to drill a hole for the camera. As well removing Toyota logo from the original grille was a little painful.

Looks much better than US grille.

Yakima Warrior removed:

So, if you remove the Yakima, then do you lose the CROSS BARS?

Does the HE owner (who does not want the wind-noise inducing Yakima) now have to spend EXTRA $$$ to get crossbars?!

But hey, at least, the BOLTS for the running board came with the HE....so, you don't have to spend $$ on bolts if you want to add running boards. :D

On a separate note, i do prefer SOMETHING on the side whether it be running boards or sliders. The bare look without running boards just does not look right. Then looking on the side, you see the frame, which i understand is good for clearance of the body. OK on a Jeep i guess, but on a $90k SUV, the frame needs to be covered up on the side with sliders (or running boards).

With the HE costing MORE than non-HE LC, why can't Toyota with the HE just add some sort of rock sliders or rocker panel protection straight from factory like what Jeep does with the Rubicon??? That would be sweet to have from factory.........without having to deal with moving KDSS tubing around etc..

So far, let me get this straight........you are paying more for HE for the shadow grille, nice set of forged BBS rims, Yakima basket, all-weather floor mats, slightly more center console storage (without cool box), and special (awesome looking) logos.

You LOSE: semi-aniline high end leather (big deal IMHO), 3rd row, running boards, and very functional cool box.

Many of the things you post are exactly why I went from excitement about the Heritage to just buying a new base and blacking out the grill and headlights and getting black BBS rims. Was able to get a base LC for way way less than a Heritage.

It's a special edition. In what universe would you think it could cost less?

I took off the crossbars, getting ready to rip the whole thing apart. Build threat coming.

I am going to have to email Eric later with questions

I have a HE arriving in the next month or so. I'm a little bummed that it sounds like all the HEs landing at dealerships so far have 285/60/18 Dunlops. The Toyota website clearly indicates the HE was fitted with 285/65/18 tires, which would preclude the Dunlops since they aren't offered in that size. Assuming mine comes with the Dunlops, I'm probably going to switch them out with something a little beefier and more off road oriented. Just not sure which tire, but the Generals and BFG KO look nice. Frustrating that I need to drop another $1,200 on top of the "HE premium".

Man, look term, its a small price to pay in relation to the overall vehicle for something that you really like. I wouldn't stress about it. I really like the way the NITTO Terra Grapperler G2s look. I am getting those. They are not quite as over the top looking as BFG KO2s which now have treads all over the sides in case you are driving on two wheels or whatever.

I had Terra Grapplers on my Tundra. They looked and ran great. I'll definitely consider them again. No stress here.
