Do you ?

In my modest opinion, it is the best looking land cruiser station wagon yet , and i know its hard to imagine this now , but im sure the design will age very well in the next 20 years , its already aging pretty well , even after the introduction of the 200 which isn't so good looking...but oh well..

a few 100 and 200 pics from were im at...

Yes! The last picture of the 200 series is epic!

Yes I do.

I've seen lots of threads like this over the years. When the 80 Series came out, it was ugly and the 60 was the waggy to beat.

When the 100 Series came out, is was ugly...the 80 Series had the classic lines and was the new(er) waggy to beat. (80 Series also was the last US TLC with a SFA, so theat argument was made as well)

And now that the 200 is out, the 100 has become better looking than ever.

In my eyes, if you lift a Land Cruiser and throw some 35" tires on it, it looks good. (200 Series Example: https://forum.ih8mud.com/200-series-cruisers/468368-aussie-arctic-truck-35s-2.html )

Completely stock, the older the model the better the look. Stock 55 is #1. Stock 60 is #2 and so on. My 2 cents.

Perfect quote, indeed! 60 look is much > than the 100. I own both and the 60 series is much more timeless and full of character than the 100. Time will tell but that is how I vote.

I think they all end up being classic!

I like 40, 60, 80, 100......200 is growing on me, but only the Land Cruiser in 200....not a fan of the Lexus version. My 2 cents.

I love the 100 but I don't think it is a great looking SUV. In order, I'd say 70 series, 60, 80, 40, 100, 50 (ugly but I <3 them too), 200. No opinion on the 90 or 120.

Here's a good overview... though the facts aren't all accurate.

Pretty much agree with this. The 100 is conservatively styled and well proportioned so it will age well. Looks best with tires a bit bigger than stock (285/75R16).

The 80 was actually styled a little more uniquely but that causes it to show it's age a bit more.

Not sure I would say the 100 is better looking than the 60. A close call for me.

one of the things that i think makes the 100 really stand out is the rear tail light design , really worked well on the cruiser !

and as Nmuzj100 stated , the design is well proportioned , unlike the 200 which looks odd at certain angles...much like it's on steroids...

When the 100 first came out, I kept mistaking it for a Mazda MPV. I hated it. Thought the 80 was the perfect balance of luxury and off-road... I've slowly warmed up to it - now love it. Still think the 80 is tougher, the 60 better looking, the 55 cooler...

to me, the earlier UDSM 100 looked like a facelifted 80, which isn't a bad thing.

that said, my two cents is that the best looking wagons were:

I own one so its gotta be the best looking suv.

To me, the 100 has a versatile look, from a stock urban sheik - especially with the stock 18s - to a bold, somewhat euro outback appearance when modified for off road.

A little soft looking... The 80 is the perfect blend of rugged and refined.

with stock tires and running boards it looks like a subaru forester XL. Now with a little larger tires, no running boards and some ground clearance under it, i think they look great.

As far as "looks" go, I definitely prefer pretty much any of the older models... but with the right mods, you can definitely bring the 100 into its own.

The 100 is fine in and by itself, but unfortunately it suffers from the "looks like everything else" syndrome.
