Just curious Dean, what was the condition of the belt you removed? Age and miles on it?

Dan, my belt had 109,847 miles on it. but it look beautiful, and probably could have gone longer. It was replaced 30 Apr 04 so it was 6 years old.

My pump was replaced at the first t belt job and after careful inspection I opted to not replace it. I did replace both idlers tensioner, and accessary belt tensioner- it was warn out.
I inspected the crank seal and the cam seals- not evidence of any leaks so didn't bother them.

The t belt tensioner appeared to have been leaking, evident by all the oily crud under the dust cap.
I scraped some of it off before this picture.

1st picture is of the water pump weep hole. It was spotless with no indication of seepage anywhere.

2nd picture new idlers.

3rd picture the original tensioner had some oily crud under the cap- looked good otherwise.

Here's the timing belt only had two bad spots like in the picture. There was one quarter sized oily spot I think was from the antifreeze during the disassembly. (I didn't see any evidence of oil leaks.
