My son printed me a coffee cup adapter for my cup holder out of PLA (I think) and when it got hot, it shrank. I'd look into using ABS or some other heat resistant material for cup holders.

The ones i ship out will be good to sit in your car, while you're camping out in the middle of an Arizona desert in the middle of July.My son printed me a coffee cup adapter for my cup holder out of PLA (I think) and when it got hot, it shrank. Thanks boss, although i am still setting everything up.
Also, i just got word that both my orders are shipping out this week for filament (UPS/will be here in a week or less), from KVP & Artillery (KVP US, Artillery China).
Somewhere between 1-2 tons of filament, i forget. Probably 100 different colors or so across various different types of filament!
I will make them for people who do not want to make their own, but my long-term goal is to teach everyone how to make their own mods/replacement parts; as well as manufacture whatever else they need that can be 3d printed. Better to teach a man to fish, right?
See you in 15 minutes on my youtube! I will be working on mud-related things all night, and will leave a 24/7 feed on the test prints for the cupholders.
This is how you know you're at the right youtube channel for me, i just randomly stop for 30 minutes sometimes just to talk about my LX:
Just a bunch of unfiltered thoughts xD.

Of course Teck has a Prusa XD. I couldn’t afford the ARB of printers and had to go with the ICECO of printers instead.EDIT: .STL file posted here
Another thread got me thinking and then tinkering with a custom 3D printed cup holder. I already have the BH3D LX570 insert. But I want more functionality. I imagine others may want this too. Goal is to share my CAD file and start an open source project that others can take further. I'm sure there's lots of good ideas out there and this is just a start.
2 main design paths: inserts (180mmx90mm = 16.2 cm sq), or whole cupholder/lid replacement (234mm x 124mm = 31.4 cm sq). I opted for the latter as there's almost 2x more prime real-estate to harvest.
Wants:
- 3" cup holder
- 3.75" water bolter holder (with adjustable stop)
- pen holder
- cell phone holder
- Baofeng radio holder
- misc pocket
I'm about 1.5 hrs in and on iteration v3. Probably will take a few more to get to where I want it. Happy to share the file when I'm satisfied.

More interestingly, I’m going to try printing without supports like you did. Gotta fix my bridge settings. Also going to try printing one upside down.
@TeCKis300 do you have any slice settings or advice you can share?
My First slice with default settings, was 3 days for single cup holder (lots of support). I’m going to start the process of trimming this time down to a few hours each: bigger nozzles, 3mm filament, ultra high flow hotend/extruder, software upgrade to klipper (volumetric flow), trimming support and etc. This will be a fun project; already have most of the parts I need on the way, everything but the Odrive system (board and motors). Get ready to see some fast printing!

Thanks for the advice, and I planned on trying the Prusa slicer just to try it; now is a good time! My plan is to take all of them for a spin, and likely settle on something with volumetric flow (extrusion speeds depend on shape of object, rather than a fixed rate).I've got an actual ICECO fridge and love the thing.
As for 3D printing, I'm using pretty standard Prusa PLA profiles. I designed the cup holder to use very minimal supports, with overhangs that come in at angles. Otherwise the print can literally take couple days as you're finding. If you're going to take this to production, there's likely lots of geometry optimizations you'll likely want to make depending on the filament you settle on. I used about 15% infil for what is still my prototype print. Again, will want to dial that depending on final filament and your printer.
I don't know what slicer you're using but you could try the Prusa slicer as they've allowed it to have generic and tuned profiles for other printers?
I can provide these for mud, as well as various other 3d printing services (also 3d printers/automated systems). For the next week i am doing test prints in PLA. The final cup holders will be in something that will not warp or melt in the heat like ABS. I am trying to get costs down to $15 delivered price for mud, $20 at most if you need one soon (after next week). I am still learning and optimizing/becoming more efficient at the process as i go, and price will lower over time.Is anyone selling a these cup holders? The stock holders don’t work well for me… thanks
Yessir, i will share all colors available next week when they arrive!!@Sharpie:
Put me down for one in black pls.
This is my "sample" orders for Artillery and Keene. If KVP works out they will be my main supplier, as Artillery took an entire 2+ months to deliver from China (standard now is 2-3 months, sometimes more).I also get my filament from KVP. Best ABS in my opinion.

I ordered over 1 ton of filament (about 100 different colors across various types of filament), and waiting for those to come in next week before i have enough ABS/PETG/PC/etc to work with for mud projects. I have been setting up for a couple months now and will begin offering services to mud this month.
Also, it takes me like no effort to do a custom engraving or something, so don't hesitate to ask. I plan on adding a free engravings anyways, like "His" for the small cup holder, and "Hers" for the big side. Priorities, boys. You can customize it for free is my point.
