Just a follow up for any future readers - per my disgusting cupholder-underside - yes, most of that corner circled in red and kind of back to the rectangle hole to the left needs trimmed back for this to fit. And then it works beautifully.

Sorry, missed this as I was out on travel. Yes, that corner needs trimming to maximize the utility of the space. Glad it worked out!

No worries man!

It's a great model, initially I was disappointed after printing bc I hadn't noticed your note about trimming but was glad I didn't toss the print when I looked at these pages again a few days later and caught the comment about it.

The large side fits a 32oz insulated Camelback pretty well, fwiw for any interested.

@TeCKis300 or anyone else with file writing skills, would anyone be willing and able to help me out with a little project?

My nephew (11) just got his first printer and is looking for projects. Unfortunately, it's just too small to print the cupholder. Would anyone be able to split it down the middle into two prints that I could glue together? I realize it's less than ideal but I think it would be fun for him and I to work on this together. Bonus points if both sides could have the large size cup slot with the lock tab. Lastly, I'd be more than happy to venmo some cash for the time spent working on the files. Thanks.

That is something you would do via the slicing software (tells the printer how to print the object). Depending on the printer would make the software vary but that's how it would be done. This is also how many guys 3d print body panel/custom widebody kits and what not, since most dont have access to a 6'x6' printer.

Agreed with @UT08LX570 . A part of learning a new printer is using the "slicer" software that helps manage prints. As the name implies, slicing is a core part of it's functionality as it interprets objects into sliced layers. Yes, you can slice the model in half and glue it back together.

In regards to larger cup sizes to both sides, that's not as easy and would require major rework as there's protrusions underneath that may not make it possible.

In case you could also print the simpler solution I made some time ago. Should be smaller.

You can see it in the background.

Printing it as we speak at out Polymaker Black ABS....only 10 hours and some change to print with a Bambu X1C. Thanks again for designing this. I'll be putting it in my 2013 LX 570.

Is it possible to get the file and modify it to our liking a tad? For example, I printed this the other day and it fits my big Yeti, but not my smaller one. My rugged radios also don't fit in the radio slot.

Are you asking me? What file format are you looking for? I'm using Onshape.

Just under 11 hours w/ a Bambu P1S, need some 3M Molding Tape to lock it in place. Fantastic design 👍
If I had 1 wish, it would be that the radio slot was 1/4 deeper (Y axis?) to accommodate a TID TD-H3 radio, at the expense of the right cupholder.
Wish I had CAD skills...

I really want a 2013 LC version of this…
