Wiring

Front Circuits

Up front, I ran dual lead wires from the 6-circuit fuse block to areas around the center console. At this point, I hadn't fully decided where all the Aux circuits would go but ran the wiring generally where I thought I'd want it. 12 AWG was overkill but I wasn't sure if I'd be using relays in a few of the situations yet.
  • 12 AWG - CB/HAM Radio (near shifter)
  • 12 AWG - Aux #1 for 12V ports or USB ports (near shifter)
  • 12 AWG - Aux #2 for 12V ports or USB ports (near shifter)
12 AWG - Dual-USB/Dual-Cig adapter (old CD changer location)
  • 10 AWG - 300W Inverter (old CD changer location)

Stereo Signal and Speaker
I ran 6x signal leads from the aftermarket stereo as well as speaker wires from all 4x doors to the QPM as well.

Stereo Ground
In the interest of minimizing radio EMF, I ran a single 12 AWG cable (blue) from the aftermarket stereo in the dash to the 250A negative lug in the rear.

Switch Panel Relay Triggers
I knew I'd be installing a switch panel pretty much from day 1 and it would be somewhere around the shifter, under the ash tray so I ran 3x 3-lead sheathed wires from this location to just behind the c-pillar near the fuse block. I just tied these up for the future. These would be my switch triggers to activate relay's in the back. In hindsight, I should have run some heavier wires to ensure I didn't have to use a relay for certain loads.
