I was hoping the camera would land between my ladder rungs and not have to relocate, but alas, it's directly behind a riser....

Also, if you're not using a $19 harbor freight oscillating tool with an upgraded $10 blade you're doing it wrong (check out some of the thin cuts). It's pretty much like butter... melting a bit as it cuts.

Ladder:
1) don't use your nice blades on aluminum!
2) round your corners to fit the bends

Final trim on the rear:
1) I used a 5/8" block to mark up from the bumper. (1/2" bulb trim plus 1/8" air gap)

2) light orbital sand to clean up the melted burrs.

Been avoiding this step, but shoutout to @grinchy for real world motivational support!


On the front crash bar mounting points, DO NOT use the factory nuts. Since the LX facia sticks out further than the LC, Dissent provides a 1/4" spacer to push everything forward. The stock nuts have a flange on them and there's not enough threads - make sure you use a simple washer/nut...

the studs are spot welded in 3 locations, so hammer won't work (in fact, it will bend the stock 1/8" back plate). I was able to grind from behind and then wiggle the last weld free.

1) anti-seize all dem mounting bolts
2) wire up lights
3) install parking sensors
4) swap tire and ladder
5) relocate license plate
6) plasti-dip that shiny spare rim
7) shorten tailgate support wires

The 80/20 ladder rungs tie in nicely with the 80/20 prinsu.

my opinion - don’t plastidip the 5th wheel. Buy another matching and rotate in - this kind of build deserves it.

Started the rig up for the first time in 2 weeks, but unfortunately I didn't notice any difference in grumbles after chopping off that resonator... wasn't really expecting much, though.

It's been either 96 degrees or raining, so not much progress other than some small details.
1) autozone had the right M10 bolts that I needed to finish up the front mounting.
2) final trimmed the front and rear at 5/8" (1/2" bulb trim and 1/8" air gap to prevent rubbing), but I'm digging the no trim look for now. Seems like the black paint hides it well.
3) had to perform some surgery on the parking sensors to get a good fit. More on that soon.

Need to check every bolt before I go on a test ride....

I greased up, glued up, and torqued up all the bolts today.

Also installed the lower radiator plate, and need to chop up the factory skids to make them fit.

Still working on the front parking sensors, so those are up next.
