I changed the range of motion in my ahc by changing ahc connection rod length. Now the truck sits at where H was stock....and can go up and down from there.... next ill be wiring a ahc kill switch to the dash so I can lock in H or L and go over 20mph

Is there any change in the ride feel? How does it feel now when you adjust to HI mode?

Looks like you need some longer brake lines and speed sensor wires.

Tundra parts are not necessary, LC parts will be direct replacement.

I'm using front components from a Tundra because they are wider than LC/LX parts.
Would Tundra shocks amd coils drop into the LX570 without issue, or are the LCA UCAs needed as well to fit stock Tundra shocks and coils?

Depends on the shock manufacture. The Tundra spec'd kings I have in mine required modification to the coil bucket.

Stock Tundra front shocks should bolt into place. You would need to cycle the suspension without the coil spring attached to make sure nothing creates issues. (shock bottoms out before hitting bump stops, shock allows too much droop and cv binds\pops out, etc.

Been following along and I’m finally pulling the trigger on AHC delete. @turbo8 have you had any additional codes pop up, or been relatively smooth sailing ever since you pulled the relays/fuses/disconnected AHC module?

No issues for me.

There is an issue with disabling AFS on 2016+ models though.

Before you start cutting, what's your reason for removing the AHC?

I bought the LX with 180k miles. AHC has been okay so far after changing the fluid, however, I’m noticing ride height will slowly lower after being parked and the height is lowering when it shouldn’t when on fairly level ground. Off road, I’m also not a big fan of the lack of articulation AHC provides. I also like the “simplicity” of a traditional suspension set up

I replaced my hydraulic shocks and stock coils with Old Man Emu a few weeks ago and had been waiting to disconnect the suspension control module behind the rear driver's side plastic wall.

This was partially because I enjoy the AFS while night driving on twisty roads in my area.

I finally got around to doing it. I took out the 5 amp fuse, the AHC relay and disconnected the battery. Pulled back the plastic and disconnected one of the wire connectors form the suspension module. I think the second from the top.

After that I put the fuses and relay back in, and connected the battery. As was suggested the AHC portion of the LCD display disappeared, and now it just shows the shift selector like a Tundra, or Land Cruiser I guess. (I had a 2008 Tundra, never had a 2008 Land Cruiser)

Interesting thing though tonight when I was driving home in the dark, I was surprised to see the headlights pint to the left as I turned left. Excitedly I began gently swerving left to rights and the headlights pointed left or right following the rotation of the wheel. I pushed the AFS off button, and they stopped. Pressed it again, and the lights began moving left to right with the turn of the steering wheel.

I was under the impression disconnecting the suspension control module to get rid of AHC disabled the AHC.

Did I misunderstand, or is this common for those that AHC delete?

Great, I messed around with trying to get AFS to work, but I never put the AHC fuses\relays back in. Even though I really have no need for the AFS it would be good to know which plugs are plugged into the AHC ECU.

Looks like you have an early model LX as well, what year?

AFS is a nice luxury. I checked to see if I had photos of which connector I discoed from the suspension module but I do not. Wondering if that makes a difference.

I have a knock sensor fault, so that is lighting up my dash, no other codes. that being said, I can no tbe sure that haveing the fuse and relay in are not causing lights at this point but the codes say it is not.

Few photos with stock diamerter 18" Michelin winters on Tundra wheels, and stock diameter Pirellis on LX570 20" summers.
