I doubt it's a 5 speed unless it's been added. Toyota didn't have them in 79 for the 40 series, not even in Japan.

And the floor doesn't look to have the raised cover of 81-84, so not sure how the top leader of an h55 would clear that older cover. Perhaps he means 5 speed counting reverse ....
