A 4 day trip and got out 3 of them.
First day a bit of a warm up. Nice flow along a stream. Cool and wet.

Day 2. Had the wife drop me off up top and rode a sweet downhill back to camp.

3rd day was a big one. Super fun with a little pavement in the middle. Felt a bit out of place there.

Shouldn't day 2 be "Elevation Loss"?

J/K - Looks like some fun trails.

Another Morgan Valley metric in the books. A ride around the valley to start then up to East Canyon Resort and back to Morgan. Hadn't ridden this route in a few years - but it's always a great ride. 43 degrees at the start of the ride which warmed up to 83 by the end.

What’s the mileage on this ride? Looks rad!

"metric" = metric century = 62 or so miles?

First ride since Kingdom Trails last week. Boy, does that Vermont terrain make you fit! Just cranking it out early this morning to beat the heat. Still, rode in about 70% humidity, with ending temps of 82.

One of the main changes I have made this year is in my breakfast. Instead of an English muffin to finish the meal, I switched to a hamburger bun with butter. I know it sounds crazy, but the bun must be more filling. I ride much harder when I don’t feel hungry. That silly bun does the trick!

Anyway, 10.75 miles this morning.

Brutal ride today…. Over a 100* all day.

Bonked hard near the end and had to basically walk into town due to my muscle spasms. Entire body. First real overwhelming bonk.

Probably got some good heat exhaustion too. Chills/high heart rate. It was just a damn tough day to battle 19.1% climbs…. 🤯🤯

One bonk is your last bonk. Gotta eat well before the ride, and as you get older, regularly on the ride. For me, every 30-40 minutes, some food and a swig of Gatorade.

When younger, I could ride 2 hours race pace, no stopping for nothing. Not now…

Your friend looks quite relaxed, as in no bonk today, Mister.

Knocked off work early, and got a quick little 21km road ride in this evening. Turned round when I found the rain, decided rain and dark wasn't the best combination, even with good lighting on the bike.
