. can wait to go again. it’s pretty hot here and as a overweight canadian i don’t tolerate it well so it’ll be early morning rides and maybe some evening ones.this was at bears best west of vegas
we did BSG up and gnarley down. had a bit of a later start to the day so didn’t do a huge ride. about 13km

in between rainstorms.
we had crazy winds today 50-60km/hr. so we found some more sheltered trails. easy but sheltered. we did the hoover dam heritage rail trail to start the day
then went to blue diamond south west of vegas for the afternoon
day three last day of riding. we went to blue diamond again and rode up to the top of three mile smile via badgers pass and then all the way down 3M smile
15km round trip. beautiful day for riding. gonna get hot later today so we’ll see if we go out again

Awesome. So happy you guys came for the desert riding….
Quick 30miler this morning before heading to work….
it’s so different that the riding i have a home. it’s such a privilege to be able to try out different terrain. it’s beautiful and has different challenges which makes me learn!! it’s been such a fun adventure.
It got a little spicy tonight with this crew.
Spanked out a 10 miler this morning. This loop is the 2nd half of a 20 mile loop I do. Nearly all in the woods, on mostly bridle trails. I get out before the horses. That’s the best way for all the trail users.

I took a wicked tumble yesterday. Surprised my right kidney didn't explode like a zit on the high school ROTC water fountain mirror. I'm sure I'll look like a month-old banana from my spine to my navel (the width of a 4" tree trunk) when the bruise comes to the surface. Yeah. I'll post pics

Rode Luther Pass and Echo Summit. Too much snow to reach the lakes.
Sunset ride to see off Emily who's going to be in California for the next 6 months as a fire tower lookout for the Forest Service….
No ride. But a great hike on the Arizona Trail, Section 12 (backwards): Oracle to Summerhaven …. Straight up a 9000ft mountain…
Last hike with Emily who has 690 miles of the Arizona Trail completed. We are hoping to knock out the section from Tusayan to the UT border in November hopefully (before the snow flies on the North Rim).
