...unreal...but you are not alone...I could tell you the sh*t I have been dealing with, and my guess is you would have as hard a time wrapping your brain around it all...just as I still can't
I could understand you not being impressed...I know I'm not. Just look at it this way...she was almost home, so it won't be long now
BTW...I think it was IDAVE who gave you a heads up on the plugs![]()
Destin, I feel for ya bro, hang in there,it will get sorted,we have all been here at some point,I just cracked a fosters oil can for you!!! by the way I am headed for dune fest, winchester bay in the am,the party has started, too bad its not closer to you,I'd give the mechanic a fat lip for not installing a freeze plug properly!!...I'd be into some old NO.7 by now!!!
I forget who warned me about the freeze plugs, and i am too tired right now to look, but fxxx if you were not spot on with that.![]()
Yes, that would be me. Well, this should be interesting.
PLEASE find out how they glue them in and let me know.
At least it wasnt the one on the back of the block that blew out!
haha yeah, i remember asking them to double check the freeze plugs after you mentioned that, but I forgot to ask them what they used. I will ask today what they intend on using that WILL NOT blow out in 5 miles haha.
man what a pain in the ass
How did you resolve yours? you put in soft plugs yeah?
I only did the soft plug temporarily.
I used 3M "The Right Stuff" and it worked well on all but one. That one I ended up JB Welding in, and when that still had a trickle I put a bead of Permatex 1 Form a Gasket Sealant around it. 4000 miles later not leaking and I think I'm good.
I used The Right Stuff on my F155 initially and have never had a problem. If I ever have to do it again I might use the Permatex1 instead. But I'm hoping I'm past that.
