I need to order the pyramid tread rubber for the running boards...
Should I go white for the treads?
Pyramid Vinyl Matting - Canal Rubber Supply Company
My 65/40 which was red had white running boards, and for the grab handle fasteners, early FJ25 and FJ40's had round head phillips screws, I would have to look at some early or 1964 photo's to see if they changed to hex head bolts. Is that what yours had when you dissasembled the dash? Your F.D knob went out today. John
I would go with the white pyramid.

Did they come stock on 40's
Not sure that'a a number 8. I think it's a picture of a bulb. But the answer is yes. They were stock in the early cruiser at least thru 65.
Do any one of you know of an unobstrusive/ stockish looking below the dash oil pressure gauge?
I like to be able to monitor my oil pressure, unless you guys think the stock gauge is accurate.
