Not sure how long Toyota used the one hole bracket. My 73 still has the threaded hole in the tub. I have a new set of straps still in the factory bags. Not sure which striker the bolt pattern matches. I'll have to check one of these days. The one hole bracket would be easy to make it's the nut that matches that hard. These shouldn't be to hard to find. The straps worn out and POs never bothered to remove the bracket. I know I striped a set out of a soft top model in a junk yard and may have a few others cruisers that came the same way. I'll check and see how many I have.

Interesting. I've never checked the bolt patterns. I did notice the side brackets and knew they were from a later year. Now I have to check and see if they match the earlier FJ25 and 1961 FJ40 jump seats:hhmm: This 62 to what 64 or 65 is the only type of long jump seat I don't have. Well at least US imported style. I know they were used many years later in other markets after the US mandated a rollbar.

I will trace the original set onto a piece of cardboard, then post up a photo of the new set sitting on that template to illustrate the difference :D

Hopefully they are the same ( i can always knock off the back brackets that rest against the tub that i do not need )

:D

yea the bottom bolt patterns on the jump seats match perfectly!!!!!!

might just take off the back bolt mount bit that leans against the tub as my original one did not have that ;)

a few photos in the "sunshine"

haha :D

Dean you know i am stalling :D

gonna drop over there in an hour or so and see if the epoxy prime is finished :D

:: cross your fingers that they did not delay the epoxy priming for other work ::

destin, don't mean to hi-jack, just wanted to update my findings on those jump seats

looks like they must have changed sometime in '64. my '59, '62, '63 AND '64 tubs all have foot patterns where the mounting holes are very close to being 1" on center, which seem to correspond perfectly to the jump seats I have WITHOUT the EXTRA top mounts. BOTH sets of jump seats I have here WITH the EXTRA top mounts have a mounting hole pattern very close to 1 1/4", at least a 1/4" wider.

hi-jack over

projects looking good Destin, can't wait to see the paint:beer:

Thanks man :D

Excited to see it painted too, hope it turns out well.
All the waiting and repeated delays is making me nervous...
It has been at their shop for a long as time.

I'm not sure what the old style stock ones look like for your FJ but McMaster Carr carries a wide variety... McMaster-Carr

Does anyone know where to get the old style hose clamps for the radiator hoses?
Is there a valid part number out there?

:D
Think Toyota still have them ( don`t know the part number)
Bought them new from Toyota in 2008.
Would try to get old used ones and clean *them , the new ones Toyota sale are a little bit different too the old clamps ( not so important but ... ;) )
Cheers
