rebuilt the odometer today, and cleaned s*** up.
Most of the wheels and gears where pretty gunked up:

Hopefully the gears are in good enough shape...
Used silicone lubricant for the plastic gears.

did you get a refab steering wheel...i see a tag....or is it going in your yard sale? :)

That is the old wheel, just the oil filter tag that comes with the original oil filters :D

I may have found a good condition steering wheel, i just need to verify the spline count on my wheel. ( 36 spline )

Need to do that today :D
 
.......just curious.....are you setting it back to what it was before you started all this work?
 
Hey Destin, lookin good. Ya the power drill works great but you already found that out. I had a friend that added miles to a used motorcycle in order for it to be registered here in CA. We have some really screwed up laws in this state. He just set the drill and went about his business came back later and it was all done.

Yeah I just needed to know i was putting them together properly :)
The drill trick saved me a lot of time and hassle :)

Now to clean up and bend new tubes for the vacuum for the 4wd stuff :)
 
I bought a new gold cad plated one from Toyota they are still available, but the rebuild kits are not :frown:

the actuator itself?

Mine seems to be in good nick,
I could replace it or plate it, but it seems to have a plating already no?
hate to replace something that works and looks great.
Any advantages?

btw your rig looks top notch :D
