I though that was referring to the control arm bolt.

Here’s a weird thing that happened today. Was driving down 25-30min on a very gentle curve. Suddenly, my steering wheel started to oscillate, felt like what I’d imagine a gentle death wobble would feel like. Never had something like this happen before so I’ve immediately pulled over. Inspected all the control arm bolts and nuts, nothing moved. Drove off and it didnt happen again. Any ideas?
Lot of things can cause that !
Tire balance will set it off but there has to be an underlying issue to let it happen.
Check you pan hard bushing and check for cracks at the frame where it mounts.

Don’t just do a visual check on the bolts (panhard, radius arms, steering), double check the torque on them. This happened to me and would have never found it just doing a visual check or even checking by hand.

I think I found one of the culprits. I’ve had this spot cracked when I’ve got the truck 7 or so years ago. Looks like it’s got a new crack on it…not sure how deep it goes yet.

I’ve marked the bolts on the control arms and they didn’t move.

Lose control arm bolts won't cause the issue you're having. That crack will.
I would get that taken care of right away.

Don’t meant to high jack the thread…but any recommendations?

Grind everything away and weld new & triangulate some more steel on it?
Yes and there's some brace kits out there. Can't remember off the top of my head who make them..

DeltaVS makes these steering box reinforcement plates. Also a company in Australia RAMPT Customs seems to have a reinforcement or beefier bracket for pretty much every part of an 80 chassis.

Rampt customs are the ones I have seen before.

Has anyone got driveline vibrations/grinding after installing these?

I’ve got about 3.5” lift. Prior to control arms the caster was at -1, after installing the caster is now at +3 .

I did have a panhard bar crack, so I did have to strip the steering components and the steering box, but I have reinstalled and retorqued everything.

While driving I noticed vibration at 60mph+. Almost feels like a tire balance vibration but I have not had that before. Also grinding sound (sounds like worn out and loose caliper, I have doubled checked all brakes, everything is good) when coming off accelerator is braking.

So I’m seeing if there’s something, or some angle that these arms create which requires a DC front drive shaft, as before I didn’t have those issues with the same lift.
EDIT: should have ready this thread about more but it does seem to be the case.

What model of Rad arms from Delta? There are 2, 3, 3L...6) and what size tires you running?
I’ve got 3L arms, 35” half worn tires.

I should have also posted my alignment numbers. Before (left) is after dobinson heavy 3”s with existing OME caster bushings. After (right) is after delta arms.

pretty normal to need a DC front shaft with castor correction methods other then cut+turn axle housing or offset trunion bearings. did you get 3 or 4 arms?
