I don't think anybody here said "Toyota rules no matter what", it seems to me that many a folk here want a good with a beam axle without having to end up owning some Mopar pile of s***.
Maybe the new barbie heeps are more capable than a 200, but that's only part of the picture, and that capability will pale in comparison to the fact that everything Chrysler makes is mean to be discarded and replaced in five years.
Hell, personally, if I wanted a nice truck that could go places, had power, was suitably built, and worth owning, I'd go grab a Raptor. Sure, it's not as small as a heep, and more expensive, but I trust Ford's quality over Chrysler's lack-thereof any day.
FWIW, a beam axle isn't really the end-all-be-all. In crawling, SFA is a must, but for 90% of the wheeling done, suitably built IFS will get you where you need to go, and get you home.
