Dash repair panel?

Does anyone make a weld in predrilled/cut dash panel (like factory) to repair this mess? I can weld in sheet metal and modify as needed, but a pre drilled option sure would save a lot of time!

A PO cut this section out and had an aluminum gauge panel in there. I’m moving the gauges to the factory location.

You might want to check out the classified section and put in a "wanted" ad in there. You might find a whole panel to work with.

I'm not aware of an aftermarket patch panel for this. A junkyard salvage situation will probably be your best bet. Good news is that the dash doesn't tend to rust out, so there are probably lots of them in junkyards. Just bring lots of spot weld cutters and a battery powered angle grinder with you.

That's awful. I found a replacement for my 73 that was in uncut condition. It may take a while but they are out there.

You will have to drop the WS down and remove the big rubber gasket. Then drill out the spot welds across the top and grind off the end welds to remove the dash panel.

yikes - part outs are the best option to request it. Easily found if you dig around locally as well.

Wow, thanks for all the responses!

This is NOT a truck I care about making “right”. It’s a mildly built wheeler that’s been rolled twice. The body is covered with dents, rust and spray paint and nothing is straight. I can barely get soft doors on it…

If a dash replacement is the only option I think my best plan is to weld a patch in and add the holes I need down the road. I just want to get rid of the giant jagged hole in the dash.
