I have been told by 2 Lexus dealerships that if your dash isn't cracked by May 31, they will not replace it

Hey Sam, I bought an '08 about a month ago. Wasn't aware of the dash crash problem until I came across this thread. My dash doesn't have any cracks or shiny spots. It does have some slight, and I mean slight, indents around the passenger side airbag. There's nothing on my Lexus history regarding a dash replacement. I have a 3yr/36k Lexus platinum warranty that came with the car. Should I contact my Lexus dealer and ask about the dash recall?
That's the problem, it doesnt have cracks, or at least I haven't seen any obvious ones.Just take it in... Especially if you have cracks
They are replacing them if they are cracked OR sticky/Soft texture. Im sure if you looked hard enough you WILL find a crack SOMEWHEREThat's the problem, it doesnt have cracks, or at least I haven't seen any obvious ones.
Sorry to zombie thread this but I've added GX470s to my searching since selling my 100. There's a local one, 2005 no nav (has a Pioneer double din in it) with 150K on it, timing belt and services done, looks like it's solid from the photos but the dash is very cracked. They're asking $10K which seems a tad high? But more to the point, is the dash cracking issue something I could have taken care of under the recall if I grab it?
Ah bummer. Thanks for the heads up.I think the recall expired April 30th
