I thought some of you might be interested in seeing how this turned out. It was a relatively easy repair as long as you consider removing the dash an easy task. I used a Don Jer flocking kit, black nylon fibers.

My dash pad had a couple of cracks in it, I sanded and filled them with body filler, then got to flocking. I'm ready to flock everything now!

The other pieces I just cleaned, lightly scuffed, and sprayed with adhesion promoter + SEM Colorcoat . Looks good, seems to not immediately scrape off either. Door panels are next.

Looks nice, what's the cost to do a job like this?

Unflocking believable! It looks good, how's it feel once it's all dried? Does it scratch easily? Wondering if it's a bitch to clean.

It is inexpensive except for the time. I paid about 30 bucks for the flocking kit. I let it cure for 48 hours and it seems to be fairly durable. I bumped and scratched it reinstalling the dash and it is no worse for the wear. The pictures really don't do it justice. It looks like suede basically. I was pleasantly surprised as to how well it came out.

How has this held up over time? and how hard is it to get dust out? I'm thinking of doing the same thing but worried about cleaning out trail dust.

that looks so good where did you get your steering wheel wrap.. i love it so retro
