Writting this up for BAT - so please excuse the tone. Wanted to list here first in case any local enthusiasts are interested.

$40,000

This 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 is in excellent condition and runs incredibly smoothly. It shows just less than 124k miles and was cosmetically and mechanically refurbished before the seller acquired it in 2023, after which additional services have been completed and are described below.

Powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case, the truck is finished in light blue over patterned gray cloth upholstery, and it is equipped with 17″ steel wheels, Euro-spec mirrors, and a lifted suspension with Bilstein shocks as well as air conditioning, and extensive sound insulation.

This FJ60 is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. Finished at the factory in light blue (861), the truck was repainted during previous ownership, and it features round headlights, KC auxiliary lights, Euro-spec mirrors, and a single bright exhaust finisher. The Carfax report lists damage to the front in a February 1993 entry. Close-up photos of the body panels and trim are shown in the gallery below.

Steel 17″ wheels are wrapped in 285/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, Bilstein shock absorbers, and an Old Man Emu leaf springs and steering stabilizer. The seller reports that a 2.5″ suspension lift is fitted. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The front bucket seats and folding rear bench are upholstered in patterned gray cloth that extends to the door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, and manual wind-up windows.

Damage is pictured below on the left-front door panel and the side of the driver’s seat. The three-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a 4,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level, which all work correctly. The six-digit odometer shows just under 124k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership. The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six is equipped with a single carburetor and was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque.

The seller reports that the air-conditioning system was serviced, an ignition tune-up was completed, and the oil and oil filter was changed in 2023. Additional work completed under current ownership includes a carburetor rebuild resulting in greatly improved throttle response, and the transfer case fill plug was replaced along with a steel thread insert due to previously damaged threads.

Other services completed by the current seller include a transmission fluid flush, transfer case service, rear differential service, coolant fluid flush and replacement, LED light upgrades to interior and exterior running lights, and the battery was replaced with a yellow-top optima.

The oil pressure gauge was repaired and now works correctly, a hitch was mounted, a Gobi roof rack installed, the hood bump-stops were replaced, the vacuum lines were replaced with new silicone hoses, the alternator belt was replaced, and rear window hatch struts were replaced.

Additionally, new carpet has been installed and during that process extensive sound dampening material was installed across the floor, in the doors, and in the rear quarter panels. Pictures of the installation are included in the gallery.

Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage report and lists history in Colorado and New Mexico, with a single entry between 1989 and 2020. A manufacturer safety recall regarding the rear seatbelts is noted in a September 1989 entry, and all seat belts are in proper working order.
