Whooo looks nasty back there. Are you running the Goodyear MTR w/ Kevlar ? Its in my top 3 finishers for my tire upgrade this year. In fact I think its in the top two with the Cooper STT. Have heard a lot of varying reports on the MTR and am really curious how they would hold up to a decent amount of highway driving.

Yes. Those are mtrs. 90% of my driving on those is on the highway. They are great. Not loud at all. They are good in snow and rain but great at everything else.

Nice rig!
Would you happen to have some closeup pictures of the light mount and how you made the braket work with the curved light?

Thank you

I did not have to modify the mount to make that light bar fit. It's not perfect but it works

So after my trip to Texas I felt this unusual wobble I thought it was the wonderful Texas mud. I cleaned everything. Checked all the nuts and bolts. It drove fine on my next trip. Today I took the lx for a quick drive and noticed the same wobble. However this time I think I found the problem. A busted steering stabilizer. I replaced the stock one with a doetsch unit 4 months ago but it looks like all the oil is on my garage floor. Any suggestions for a more heavy duty unit?

Sam, I've heard OME is the way to go for a heavy duty unit... They're fairly pricy. Pretty close to $90 if memory serves correctly.

I had the same issue as you with the steering stabilizer. I bought an OME (OMESD24) unit and so far I have no complaints. I bought mine from Sierra Expeditions for about $85.

Little exploring.....

You know, I bet there are several of us who would be willing to chip in and get the tap we need to make our own HD drag link and inner tie rods. All we would need are the 1.25 pipe, a couple of threaded ends, and the will to get together and make it happen. Oh, and probably a chop saw and welder would help too ! I bet we could get the cost down under $100 less the tie rod ends depending on if you wanted OEM 555's (have some) or 1 ton chevy's.

Is the size and pitch the same as the tie rod? If so there are weld inserts

I will try to get a replacement from deutsch for now and yes I would like to make my own. Is there any other modifications I would need to run 1 ton Chevys tie rod ends?

Finally I got my replacement installed. Will see how this one will hold up
