Replace front drive shafts (CV) with rebuilt OEM, including OEM boots right?I just replaced my cv's using the McMaster car metal bands about 3kmiles ago and this happened, WTH???

In the pic my steering is turned all the way to show the boot, so it does look stretched. Clamps was the only difference in this swap and I made sure to adjust bands exactly where they go on the shaft when I did them. Could be a bad set I got.... new boot kit is on order and time to do shorter as I'm getting faster at it!Wow that sux big time. It's obviously a boot failure not associated with the clamps. Could it be that the boot was stretched out and clamped on the axle end too far from the hub side? Not sure if that is even possible, but it sure looks way stretched out. I was probably the first to use the McMaster rolled clamps and that was over 6 years ago. Boots are still near perfect with no issues. CV Boots Replaced with directions
