I'm considering having a CV front drivesahft built for my SOA FJ-60. More travel and less binding. I think it will be a nice upgrade. I was curious if anyone has done this yet? Troy in Tahoe

How will you be gaining travel? Your front shaft will still pull apart if you are not limiting your down travel.

Good luck!

I meant a custom long travel CV driveshaft. We have a shop near here that custom builds long travel ones.

Do you intend on running your truck at highway speeds with the front axle engaged?

Sometimes I hit around 50 mph in the snow if I'm in a hurry. :D

We use OEM CV shafts as cores for all our SOA drivelines, I run long-travel OEM CV's front and rear on my 40... love it. I can cruise 80mph in 4wd down the highway, without any ill vibration from the front....
