1x from Napa 2x from Advance Auto. Just their off the shelf offerings.
My hope was that they’d last 50k but everytime the boots tear or I get a bad clicking sound I’ve got something coming up and need it fixed asap.
At this point the labor I’m paying to swap the cheap axles is in the same ballpark as buying oem
Thanks.

Great example.

Hey all, after installing the Ironman lift kit with the diff drop about a year ago, my driver side inner boot has started slinging grease. Im at around 170k miles and no record of the cv's ever being replaced.

Will I be good getting new OEM CV's with the lift/diff drop? I've read some stuff on here about rebooting, but I'm not sure how much more life I could really get out of 170k axles. Hence why I'm looking into just getting two new axles and be done with it.

Only concern is just that I have stock axles now and one started leaking. I'm assuming that is just because they are almost 20 years old/170k miles and after changing the angle after all that time, that's what did it in. Just want to know what other people have experienced in a similar situation.

Did the same as you and oem boot tore soon after, only has 80k mi......put on two new oem sets and same thing happened, thankfully with in the 1 yr warranty. Last set was aftermarket and doing just fine.

Which aftermarket ones did you get?

Did your boot actually tear or are you just seeping past the clamps? If just seeping past the clamps, many have replaced the OEM clamps with some specialty hose clamps and solved the issue.

Was reading through those too, the Cruiser outfitter ones are sold out (of course) is there a consensus for other good clamps to use? They seem to only be seeping out right now. I didnt see any rips and it doesn't seem like it's lost that much grease. Also it looks like its only coming out the inner driver side small clamp/side of the boot.

Where are you seeing them out of stock? Website shows (10) in stock. Generally we have more available than the website shows.
