Hello Everyone,

I am curious to know how many miles you have on your 5.7L. Also share any major repairs you have had to do and at what mileage.
Mine is a 2014 Land Cruiser with 125,500mi.

Recently purchased but no major repairs needed. I believe it has a cam tower leak driver side but minor. Only bad thing is trans fluid has never been drained & filled.

2011 LC w/ aprox 166k miles.

Recent repairs:
- Valley plate leak fix
- Spark plug tube upper seals
- New shocks & struts
- New lower control arm bushings

It needs a timing chain tensioner repair as none of the oil weight or additive fixes have worked. It is on the list.

2021 with 31,300 miles.

No repairs to the 5.7. Original battery (wish we could get them here) was replaced about 6 months ago which is a fairly standard lifespan for South Florida imo.

I was hopeful about the battery. I was not impressed given my similar replacement timeline compared to other batteries.

Have you seen this video? Check it out this guy goes into detail about the chain tensioner. From what he said I don’t thinks it’s a mandatory thing to fix. But I would under the noise must be very annoying.

2008 LX 166,710

Regular fluid changes all around. Garaged. No issues since purchased 5 years ago @ 108k.

2018 LC 36K. Not a single issue since new (I don't count the battery since I didn't use a maintainer). Oil/filter every 5K.

2016 bought used in 2018 with 14.4k miles. Currently have 106K miles. About year after purchase I had rack and pinion leaking fluid and that was replaced under Toyota warranty. Brakes at around 45k pads front and rotor turn; diffs and transfer case fluid at 75k; coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid at 100k. Oil and oil filter every 5k and tire rotate front to back, just changed to 5w30 at 95k from 0w20. Air filter every 15 to 20k and about same for in cabin air filter. Tires at just under 50k to Nitto Terra Grappler G2 stock size. Wiper blades yearly front and back. Got hit in tailgate last year in Houston new bumper and new tailgate.

2008 LC. 319k miles. Replaced radiator at 100k or so. Other than that just routine. Starter, alternator water pump power steering pump. SAIS failed so I put in a hewett bypass system. Power steering fluid cooler line rusted out so had to replace that. Fuel level sensor as well. Keeping her going

As a caveat, I do have two other 5.7 powered vehicles in the stable with well over 230k. One has been flawless, the other needed engine replacement at 130k. It spent its life on a weed farm upstate. I’m sure the least of their concerns was vehicle maintenance.

The 5.7 in the LX has always felt different compared to my other vehicles. A little smoother. I’m sure it’s in my head. It’s probably the difference in the drivetrain, though.

2019 123k miles

No major repairs, just regular maintenance.

164K - only thing as been a seeping water pump, replaced water pump..
I just ordered one for mine along with a new thermostat and serpentine belt & tensioner while I’m in there.

Sounds like you take good care of it! Why the oil change? Also did you notice a difference with the trans fluid? Did you drain the pan and refill or do a flush?

Did your radiator begin leaking? What was the cause of replacement?

2011 LX 172k miles. No issues but do have the updated radiator. Losing coolant slowly - run the overflow tank from full to empty roughly every oil change (7,500 miles). Because it's so slow and no other visible leaks haven't bothered to dig further yet.

I was having this but noticing residue on the overflow bottle. Eventually found the cap was missing the gasket. New cap with gasket and no longer losing coolant.

For the OP - 09 LC ~163k miles.

All done by POs.
Valley plate 132k
Water pump 144k
Radiator 148k
Rear main seal (crank seal) 154k

I have repaired a couple of wiring issues from clogged sunroof drain on driver side and replaced the 4wd/CDL actuators due to lack of proper use.
