Okay guys we have about a month left before the trip up to beautiful Cullowhee for round 2 of our Expedition trip, it is not to be missed  I would like to start planning so that things go smoothly :D

I am interested in seeing who is coming and when you intend to arrive and depart, so that we can layout a trip plan that is best suited for the group.

The general plan is to arrive Friday afternoon evening and do a short trail ride to one of the balds and camp there Friday night. Saturday will be a full day of wheeling with camping likey on another bald (the air is cooler up there:D, which is nice when tent camping in July) and then another short ride out on Sunday morning to end early in the afternoon.......

Please post up if you are coming and tell me when you can be there and when you need to leave.

thanks

I plan to be there with my wife mid-Friday afternoon. I could be there earlier if everyone else is arriving earlier. I would need to leave around lunch on Sunday.

I'd love to make it but I got some work to do on the HJ first. I won't know until last minute.

there will be plenty of open seats too....

I am in. Will most likely be headed up in a later group though - Friday evening 7ish. Will stay through Sunday morning.

Can work out the details later.

My wife, my dog and I will come...my question is wether we can make the trip on our 91' bone stock FJ80.....It is bone stock but do you think it could make it throug the end??

There can be some challenging parts (depending on weather) Juan but there will be other stockers there so you shouldn't have a problem. We can always come up with an alternate route if need be and haven't had a problem in the past.

yep, you can do it in a stock 80, there is the chance for "east coast pinstriping" due to over hanging vegitation...... if you 80 has running boards I would def. take them off before the trip :D

what is up with all those 40's you have there Juan :grinpimp:, to long a haul?

Yeah to long a haul plus my just restored it ain't no way I will off road it there...and my trail rig ain't ready either and the other ones are going throug restoration..blah, blah so the only one that can make the trip and be confortable in is the 80..but it is bone stock.

I do not mind about pinstriping since the paint is not that great anymore Mine did not come with runnin boards So I am fine there...also I am planning to take my dog so the 80 is the best option as far as being confortable.

There will be winches and tow straps. With all the equiptment that comes on these trips we could drag JPs Tercel all the way through.

:flipoff2: you'd be surprised how nimble that tercel is...... with enough momentum I can get through anything :D

I'm hopefully in...unless work gets in the way

less work more play John :grinpimp:

An easy perspective to have for a lifetime college student... :grinpimp:

you guys all think I am a little slow, taking so long in college, but I know exactly what I am doing............ I like the freedom and low stress life style

I never said anything about being slow. Maybe I'm just jealous I never did the same thing!!!

Though hard work after degree = $$ = freedom!!

I'm pretty sure I can get away. I've got some rather large jobs right now so the chances of getting pulled away are a little high but I REALLY want to make it. Gotta do what the big jobs take though, they pay for mods!!!!
