My wife of reason has reminded me after reading this thread I have no room in my life for this level of drama. I'm sure CSC will be fine moving forward.

I'm all for it. I dunno what a 'founding member' is or how that's defined, but I don't think that should be a criteria of office. I wouldn't argue against a certain number of years of participation to be a requirement. It's been awhile since I read the founding articles for the club, was there an outline for this stuff in there?
this "real club" s*** is getting irritating. "lets have rules", "lets be more formal", "lets meet other places". Cant wait for this to end. A bull**** session at the Sonic every 3rd friday and giving every one s*** and being sarcastic and no one getting butt hurt is what draws most of us. The organization of trail clean ups and trail runs falls from all that, not the other way around.
^^^ Well, isn't it an actual club / non-profit corp, even though it's rather free-form? In order to do things like support trails, cleanups, liase with the govmint, etc. it's better to be a "real" organization rather than "we're just a bunch o' wheelers"... we get taken more seriously that way.
Dude! Be nice, now. Your not supposed to go around giving Shannon the finger.I knew there was a reason that I like you,,, couldn't put a finger until now!![]()

I'm assuming that there are bylaws that define officers, terms, elections, quorums required to change the bylaws? If there are no rules about changing the rules, then we can't change the rules. So, CATCH 22I like the idea of all club positions be elected yearly. If one likes to serve more than one year, then that person can rerun for the position the following year.
I have been thinking about stepping down from what I am doing for the club due to personal reason. This is a perfect timing for me to make that decision. Yes, I want to step down and please have someone elected for the web maintenance job. I will still go to meeting when I am available, and will share pictures with the new officer.

I have never heard anyone talk about CSC bylaws, so I have no idea if they exist or what the content might be. That's the reason I mentioned it. It was a frequent topic of discussion at AzLCA> Seriously.Feel free to assume anything you want, but you know the answer already.
Said in bylaws or by you?
