Hello all, I am new in ABQ. I have a stock 95 FZJ Cruiser and am looking for a good shop to have some work done. I am interested in two types of work: 1) General maint. on existing systems and 2) installation of suspension and other add ons.
Can anyone give me some recommendations on a reliable shop that is familar with Landcruisers?
Thanks!

Contact Alia176 (<-link) here in the club. He does side jobs, owns two FZJ80's, both are modified, and he knows them well. The best part, the work will be done right by a fellow cruiserhead. Plus, it gets him out of the house giving the :princess: a break.

P.S. Dot dash? Are you a ham?

glad to see you made it over to the board! I'm the one you emailed this morning. these guys will steer you right.

Dan, is that you of Dan and Tiffany? If it is, it is because I recognized your avatar name as your Dogs' names! And...my wife and I met your wife when we joined Katie in Santa Fe a few weekends ago for a concert.

Congratulation and Welcome.

I second the recommendation of Alia175 (Ash). I believe he has a real job now(?). Use the group as much as possible and try to do your own work (with the help from the club) and become familiar with your 80. However, if you still want a shop I like to use Todd at Toyomasters.

WHAT!? Ash has a real job?

I agree with Todd at Toyomasters for non-modification stuff. Now that Ryan has left NM Todd is the only other person I would trust with my junk.

Not to diminish the input above, but if you live near the mountain, UnderCar Auto in Edgewood has done me right for the past 10+yrs: bought my current 60 from the owner.

I use them for maintenance and emergencies: prefer to use Cruiser specific folks (like Ali) for upgrades and such.

HTH

"It was a great way to get in one last bit of camping before I'm chained to a desk starting next Monday."

He has a job for a little bit and he still offers electrical support over the phone.
