This might be a stupid question, but here it is. I just ordered my OME Dakar kit. Does the Cruiser lean still occur with these springs? If so, I plan on adding a 3/8 plate to the PS rear during the install. Those of you with OME's please reply. Thanks in advance!!!

New springs won't get ride of that. I've got OMEs and they don't change the lean. I know that CCOT sell a space kit for the PS rear spring to help reduce the lean.

is this lean, when the truck is stopped or is this lean you speak of while under power?

It's a lean to the driver's side at rest. It's a common problem with most cruisers. This doesnt bother some folks but it does me, especially when my wife comments on it.

Yup I did the same springs and initially it was level. Then at about the third year she fell to the left... Now at five years and I hate it. I'm thinking of trying to re-arc my springs in my press. It's a damn big press !! But not sure if its smart to cold bend em. Anyone out there done it ?

How much of a lean is it? Measured driver side to passenger side. I had cruiser lean with stock springs, 1969 FJ40. Replaced OME Dakar ~ 15 years ago, NO Lean at all. Best replacement I ever did.

I've got about an inch.

I see. My lean was about 1.5 inch with 25 year old stock springs. I am at a loss to why you have lean with NEW springs. I bought OME , DAKAR, and all is well. Looking back at this lean , I do not believe anyone has found the answer.
