These were taken right after @fireball went down. This clueless buffoon had his two kids with him in a rental side by side, and wanted to be the cool dad. In this pic he was about two feet from rolling this thing. I made him stop and we pulled him out. He had no idea what was in front of him, never even got out to look. After we pulled him out, I had him take a look at what was waiting for him...he was grateful, to say the least. You can't tell in these pics, but the kids looked terrified.

Confirmed one tent site. I should have a decent amount of space to bring stuff out with in the taco. Couple a cases o beer on the roof rack will be stashed. Better to have beer and not need it than no beer at all!

Five weeks to Cruise Moab, boys and girls!

For motivation and photographic inspiration, below is a link in the Colorado Land Cruisers' clubhouse forum where a couple of locals posted their trip this past week to Canyonlands NP.

Enjoy.

Spring Break 2016 - March 19 - 25 - Kokopelli's/Canyonlands

PS: forgot to mention--we've had 12" cumulative of snow in two storms this week in Colorado Springs. :flipoff2:

I apologize guys I never get any updates for some unknown reason. Does anyone have ride along space? I don't mind parking and just cruising with whomever might have space. Let me know. Thx!

Dude , are you looking for trail space or road trip space ? There is always a space for riding trails, I should have a spot for ya

Good news and bad news! Got my 40 back from Ben Foltz shop, Ben built a custom fit storage cabinet in the back of the truck- came out great and has more storage room than all the bins and crates I formerly carried back there. I was anxious to get the truck back to start prepping for the Moab trip. Yesterday topped off all the fluid levels, geased the knuckles and all the fittings, checked the knuckle stud/nuts, and replaced the fuel filter. While under the the truck I discovered the upper mount for the track bar on the rear axle was completely broken. The track bar was connected to the rear axle with rubber bushing lined thin sleeves- looked like schedule 40 pipe which apparently wasn't strong enough! The welds held, they were fine, the bushing actually peeled aparts. Pictures to follow.

s***! had a hard time removing it- the bolts that attached the links to the axle were frozen in their bores. had to cut each bolt in two places to get everything apart. I have a new, stronger steel bushign being machined and hopefully by tomorrow will have everything back together and the new bushing tacked in place or possible completely welded depending on how finicky my Mig machine acts. All in all I'm glad and lucky to have seen this before loading the old girl for the trip west!

Good catch Gary!
