Thank you Jon.

Par for the course, I am half-right.....

Is the latter trail suitable for a Kimberley/Adrenalin trailer?

We had three trailers on the Kokopelli last year. My Adrenalin, a Dinoot and a homebuilt on 35s. All were plenty capable. My only requirement last year is that people with trailers did not slow the pace of the group, and no one did. Two of us unhooked for top of the world but the Dinoot owner pulled his up to the top. It flopped on the way down, but the trailer was so light that 3-4 guys were able to right it. I dragged my adrenalin on rose garden hill but made it down ok, with nothing more than underside scrapes. I've since taken it on Koko three times without any major issues. I would tell anyone taking a trailer on Kokopelli to expect damage and move forward accepting that.

Or one of these?

Not on Kokopelli. That type of trailer would make it to the San Rafael Swell base-camp without issue. Depending on the route chosen to Moab it could be impossible to join the group the second day. Like Dan said it would need to be fielded through Kurt, so I can't say if it would/wouldn't be acceptable. Another issue with the Swell is a limited number of spots suitable for a camper in the area.

Jon,
I drove the Kokopelli in a built 80 a few years ago and would not want to drag anything over parts of that route.
This year I am signed up for the Swell and hope to setup the Coleman at base camp ASSUMING the location is relatively easy to get to.
I understand I may be limited in the route back to Moab. I wonder what that route might be....considering there is a river in the way....

Guess I need to talk to Mr. Williams.

Hey gang,

Each year we put a page together with all of the details of the San Rafael Overnighter. We are still in the thick of planning this years event but you can take a look at the details and FAQ from last year, might be of some help: http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/cruise_moab_2013.html

Hope that helps!

That helps immensely, Kurt, thanks.
I'm thinking now that we might just park the tent trailer in Green River and pick it up on the way back to Moab. Which means we'd have to cram the 100 with provisions for 6 (two big people, three teenagers and one preteen) for two nights of primitive camping.
That's okay. We've done it before.

Let's chat as things get a little closer and we refine our plans, we can work out a solution one way or another. Thanks!

We may have some room in my 100 and an 80, picking up a couple of friends and getting gas in Green River Tues before 4pm. Will know how much room we have when we get closer and see Kurt may have an option also.

If it is similar to last year you could blow back to camp on last day to pick up trailer as it was not far from where we hit the highway and was early afternoon. Kurt would know if that will be an option this year.

I'm signing up for Cruise Moab. Pretty excited!... ok actually i'm really excited.

I just need to figure out what trails to sign up for. The only trail i've done there is fins and things.

Well, I signed up tonight for CM 2014. Put in for Fins & Things Thursday to start out easy. And then Poison Spider Mesa on Saturday. I'll be towing my '81 Mini to take on the trails. 1st timer and looking forward to meeting some Mudders and wheeling in some great country. I lived in Utah from 1977 - 1981 and have done some exploring and mild wheeling in Canyonlands & up in the La Sal's, but it's been a while:rolleyes:. Living up here in the trees and rain of the PNW, I've sure missed the Red Rock Country of Southern Utah and Arizona.

I can't wait for CM!

Cruch time, getting the BJ74 ready to do battle. The last major project, a temporary rear bumper, is almost done.

I'm going. 19 hr drive but should be worth it!
Maybe next year. Heading to the jamboree instead with both the 200 and 100 in tow. Next year my son will be able to drive and we can take both.

Man I miss Moab! I was there in 08. Iron butt award lol..

As easy as Fins and Things is, it sure is fun. The rim runs are gorgeous views, but seriously hard on the nerves! I'm not a great one for heights.

I'd have no problem seeing all the easy bottom of the canyon runs and having a blast.

See you guys there. Thursday hells revenge slee run. Friday leading nitro gear run on porcupine. Friday night 70series gathering

I'm so mentally ready to leave, but I am still waiting to get my truck back. I dropped off the new CV axles that arrived from CDan today, and hope to pick her up Wed. afternoon and begin the break in process on the gears. I should be able to get a gentle 700 miles on her before the trip. Planning on changing the diff oil twice before the trip.
