Great pics Jon! Thanks for sharing. I hope to get a few posted up in the next couple of days, if I've got anything worth showing.

As you can see in one of Jon's Kane Creek photos, we were lucky to wheel on Saturday with Robbie as our trail leader.

... you know Mike will pull out pics and video every once in a while like the shrink wrap photos.

I think Mike is taking the roll harder than Jon. I was sick to my stomach for 2 days. We just returned from 2,500 grueling miles to Baja and back and that 40 was perfect every day, mile after mile. The body was in excellent shape; no rust and a great paint job that matched the truck's personality perfectly.

Thursday was a really sad day for me.

There's a good shot of Jon in mid roll under the Trails-events-expeditions, Cruise Moab 2011, Page 5,
post #88. Bummer it happened. That hill just isn't short wheelbase friendly.

I agree with Mike. It was a real bummer when the 40 went over. I have watched Jon build that truck literally from the ground up, and I actually helped strip it down to the frame when it was time for paint and powdercoat.

However, I am confident that Jon will be able to rebuild it to its better than original condition. I was pleased to see that some offers of parts are already coming in.

That truck is down but not out by any means.

Me too. I think I have doors and fenders between Paul, Steve, and Shawn. The link to the 1971 might work out too for the windshield frame. The FJ40 is at the YodaYard in Denver. I emailed them, but their response was lame. I need to call them.

Jon, I don't work until Friday afternoon. I can go to the YodaYard for you. They generally suck (the ex-wife now owns it an has a bunch of ignorant illegals running the place--at least that's what I can gather), but I'll definitely go snag stuff there for you. I can certainly go down there tomorrow or thursday afternoon--give me a call.

Han drove the last day on Wipe Out Hill. The tunnel pic was taken at Tusher Tunnel - lots of time to walk around on that run.

You just need more practice.

I spent the better part of the day trying to figure out the best way to shoehorn an MT cage into the 45. It's almost not negotiable the more I think about it.

tip of the...

Final got 99% of the saved data off of my POS laptop...it claimed two files that I can not seem to recover:censor:
I've got organized about 51gb of movies and photos on my desktop so now i can start the editing process;p Hopefully in the next couple of days I can get the photos posted and for the videos...might be awhile. But as long as the 400+ acre fire is burning and spoiling the air quality preventing me from MTBing and landscaping it might see a little more attention :flipoff2:
