Too far north. Too far east.
It looks official. Headquarters is moving this year to BFE. From Cruise Moab 2010:

For 2010, Cruise Moab is moving to a whole new venue for our headquarters, camping and the big Friday night dinner. We're going to Area BFE, a four-wheel-drive park and campground located 15 minutes south of downtown Moab.

Registration opens January 15th. Get ready, set, ...... Moab here we come!

They should be able to run E-Hill every day this year. In past years they didn't schedule E-Hill on Friday because of the dinner. It is a long, fun day for those that are new to CM and looking for a moderate trail. They generally have 2 hikes as part of the day's activities.

Sounds great. I will be there. I think this is number six in a row for me. I can't get enough of Cruise Moab. If you can't tell already, I highly recommend it if you've never been!

We're in. Have to decide if we'll camp or hotel stay....have lots of points to use up from all my nights on the road.

Last week I submitted a stack of vacation request to da'boss. One, of course, was for CM2010. I'm looking forward to wheeling Da'40 on da'rocks. Right now I'll stay at BFE, mostly because I can't beat the price.

Registration is open! I wimped out and picked the easiest trails for my first experience. I don't expect to see anyone from HDC on the runs (unless there are some other closet wimps) Here are my choices:

Thursday:
1- E-Hill
2- Fins
3- Tip-Toe

Friday:
1- Fins
2- Gold Bar
3- Poison Spider

Saturday:
1 - Chicken Corner
2 - Fins
3 - E-hill

How did you get in? I just checked and it's not open. I also went to Rising Sun and Ken is saying later this afternoon ... unless you are a RS member and can access their secret site.

Um. I clicked on the link in the email I got from Hants last night. I signed up for the "tell me when registration opens" link on the website. I don't know what else to tell you.

Romer posted that registration would open late afternoon. I don't know how I sneaked in.

Marc,
That is a great trail selection for your first CM.

Part of my plan also is to introduce the family to CM with gentle, scenic runs. Then once they are hooked, I might consider harder stuff in the future.

I've never been to Moab so I'd prefer to focus less on the driving and more on the scenery.

Looks like we will be running together on Friday Pappy

I am doing Golden Spike, Metal Masher and leading Fins on Saturday

The link getting out earlier to some was a communication error on our part, Marc lucked out with his e-mail

Hi Ken! We should have a good turn out of HDC members this year. At least 6 and maybe 10 or more. We're looking forward to another outstanding event hosted by Rising Sun.

I'm not complaining. I like to think it means I'm an honorary Rising Sun member.

Ken,
What is the coupon code and what do the guys in our club do to get a coupon or discount?

-Mike-

I wanted to run BTR on Saturday with Pappy but it wasn't listed as a choice so I guess it is full and all the waiting slots are full. Strange they would be that full this early. I'm not sure why we're given 3 choices now that their software knows how many slots are still open. Guess that is a holdover from the old way of doing the scheduling.

Thursday
CH
BTR
Hells

Friday
BTR
PSM
GB

Saturday
Hells
Wipe Out Hill
GS

Mike,

Many of the runs were not listed when I signed up. I mistakenly signed up for Tip-toe Behind the Rocks instead of BTR. I wanted to run GS with Evan, but it wasn't listed. In fact, BTR and GS were not listed on any day when I signed up.
