Submitted a reservation to Slickrock Campground.
I'm assuming they still have tent sites open.

Anyone know anything?

Should still be plenty of sites open. I had the impression most people are staying in the RV sites (which you can tent camp in as well). I was told the tent sites are extremely small with hardly any room for your vehicle. But If you have just yourself, your rig and a tent, should be no problem.

see you all there. :flipoff2:

I am having a hell of a time reserving two spots. I keep trading emails, but it keeps going no where. At this point I wish I could talk to a live person. :frown:

I am out:frown:

Got hurt at work and no way to get the money together to get my truck up and running...got figure out how to cancel...

Hey cool, I will be there again, bring the air horn, it will be a party at 3 am again

I will bring multiple air horns so that the playing field is level.

Then you need to stay somewhere other than the Slickrock campground.

Lots of families come to this event and the campground has other tennants. We at Rising Sun have fun, but need to maintain a good relationship with the owners and be considerate guests. This doesn't mean we don't have fun, but airhorns at 3AM, or other times would hurt our cause.

We also don't allow drinking on the trails. There are areas that folks can get hurt or killed. We have fun on trails in as afe manor and then have fun in the campground, just be aware and considerate of other guests. We have a part of the camp ground set aside for us, and expect there to be late night partes in several areas away from the other guests. The area behind the cabins is typically were families would go for a more quiet atmosphere.

Those that won't follow by the rules will be asked to leave.

Cool Rob, we will likely be running one trail together. Official assignments won't go out for a while longer until we get all the leaders and gunners firmed up.

Just tell Mickey it's Utah and there is no alcohol (Shhhhh!). Sorry if I misunderstood the friendly bantering.

 shaweet:beer:

Im not a late nite person when Im wheeling and Moab has early starts for us left coast folks. Hey even Mark A didnt hear the air horn ten feet away:D till someone fell on him:doh:

LOL - you guys worry too much and I am not even close to decided on going. Chat is not reality. I don't drink and cause trouble anywhere. I am a corporate slave by day and listen to short wave radio by night. Which concludes my life. Mickey Rubicon is just a ghost in the machine. Its like gangstar rap, a form of musical expression and story telling but not reality. The only thing strange I may do is ask you guys from some stickers. Have fun and sleep well.

By the way why is there all this reservation stuff going on - cant you just camp out anywhere on the rocks and canyons primitive camping? I dont want to camp around a bunch of people?
