The 105 trailer is a monster to pull behind just about any truck. It was used behind 2.5 tons, 3 ton, 5 ton and 7 ton trucks. The m101a series were 3/4 ton trailer pulled behind older 3/4 ton trucks, CUCV (1.5 ton Pickups and blazers) and later HUMMWVs and doable by most larger trucks, I pull one behind my 80 no problems, especially after losing the HEAVY military axle and replacing it with a much lighter 6k lbs capacity civilian axle. Looks almost exactly like that 105 but smaller.

I was more curious about what kind of 40 that is. It looks like a 40 with a truck bed grafted on the back.

I have seen that one up close and it was pretty rough. Not worth the $2500 it sold for.

That was on craigslist for I believe $900. I had called and someone was coming to get it, looks like he flipped it and made one help of a proffit

Went and looked at this today. Pretty rough for only 110k miles. I'm passing at this price and he has a few people calling him about it. If you need 80 series drive train parts this might be a good deal. Engine cranks but won't start. I couldn't get the F/R diffs to lock (tough to do stationary) and couldn't hear the solenoid/gear either but I didn't crawl under to be 100%.

Still a damn good deal!

Yeah, I think I would have picked it up for $2k but he had some other people calling him with "cash in hand" so I didn't bother offering less than he was asking. The interior is mostly shot. In a part out you could probably get $4k, plus maybe $1k for the bumper and M8000.

x'2. If this were advertised a month from now I would have been all over it

What of it do you want? I was thinking about maybe splitting it with some one. I really only want the motor, trans, transfer case and probably the drive shafts. That would leave the axles, bumper, winch and switches/wiring, etc.

I would take the axles, winch and bumper. Then keep the axles and sell the bumper and winch. Prob keep the wheels too.

Sounds like it needs a fusable link replaced and drive it away If I had been in town I would have brought cash and some spare parts and drove it home lol
