Went to go see this today (took White's Ferry for the first time
). It's very rusty in spots all over, has remnants of bondo, weber carb, generally not what I'm looking for. Talked to the wife and not the guy but she said he was having second thoughts about selling it. I don't think it's worth $4k but I'm no expert.

This guy's '79 40 is in pieces and missing the whole body except for the dash/cowl/firewall. The engine/transmission/transfer case is separated from the frame. He has a ton of new parts. I sent him the info for the swap meet. He'd probably need 2 tables for everything he has.

I am getting married in September and unfortunately I have to sell my Landcruiser. Very bittersweet for me as this truck is my baby. I have been into Landcruisers for very long time and have never found a nicer one. I drive the truck daily, on the highway, and it turns heads everywhere. I could easily drive this thing cross country with no problems. I bought this from the original owner in Wyoming. It has been garage-kept it's entire life. No signs of rust on the entire truck which is kind of unheard of for this year. Inside is in excellent condition except for a small tear on the driver's side seat (very common for this truck).
117,000 original miles on the truck. Engine was replaced 2 months ago, new radiator and clutch replaced 4 months ago, BFG All Terrain Tires about a 1 year and a half old. AMAZING sound system with 6 kicker speakers, amp, and subwoofer. Synthetic Oil changed regularly. These trucks are beast and can last a lifetime. I had plans to keep this in my family until I had my own kids but it is not realistic. I am hoping it goes to a good owner who appreciates these trucks as much as I do.

I'm about to monsterline the 4runner.
It is good for people that don't care about keeping it all original. I'm prob going to go full retard with it in desert tan and a turret on the back.
