So as it was time to replace my radiator I decided to knock out the water pump, belt tensioner etc at the same time. Now the fun part, I live in Alaska. Prior to moving here a year or so ago, I had the dealer flush and replace the coolant with a 60/40 mix. It took a couple weeks for the concentrated “super long life coolant” to show up as they said it had to come from Toyota Europe or something. So went to the dealer here which does not know anything about Land Cruisers to try and order a gal or so of coolant for whatever small amount inevitably gets spilled. They tell me we can’t help your only option is use the red “long life coolant”. I’m curious if anyone here either has a part number for the pink (super long life) concentrated coolant or knows of a equivalent to the pink coolant I can look for.

I’d try to contact the dealer that did the initial 60/40 coolant flush and find the part number for what they used. Or see if it’s on your service ticket.
Another thought is if the whole system and its 4 gallons or whatever is 60/40, and you need to add a quart or pint of 50/50 standard SLLC, you are still really close to 60/40 overall once it gets mixed up. Between the spout on the block drains that is a little tough to get to but not impossible to slide a hose over, and the ability to drain the rad directly into a bucket, it is possible to do the job without losing much at all.
Whether the dealer there knows cruisers or not kindof doesn’t matter. Antifreeze requirements should be the same for pretty much every vehicle in the region. What does the local dealer do with vehicles?

Tell Kendall Toyota to take their heads out of their asses. Cruiser coolant is identical to all other modern Toyota coolant.

I started with calling the last dealer, unfortunately the service advisor that was a LC fan left and the invoice just list “coolant special order 5 gals” then a discount for what was left over. I have a jug of 50/50 SLLC for any I lose, I was just thinking down the road this thing will need a flush and fill and I would have a source of coolant.

I hate dealing with Kendall, if I don’t bring them a part number they won’t even try to help me. The “master service technician” also told me the LC has no KDSS so I will avoid them doing any service on it. I am DIY’ing the new parts. Seems super straight forward so far, I did take the bumper cover and grill off just to have as much room as possible.
