I'm in the process of replacing my radiator but I continue to experience issues with getting a "good" radiator. Here's my story"
- Ordered the first radiator from Longo Lexus. It arrived to the dealership and parts guy informed me it was damaged. They sent for a replacement.
- Once the radiator arrived at the Longo Lexus dealership, the same parts guy offered to have their local parts runner drive the radiator up to me (~30 miles) to avoid handling issues from UPS / Fedex. The radiator arrives and the fins are all screwed up. I reject the part and get a refund.
- Ordered an OEM replacement on Lexus Parts Now. Item shows up after a few days (this time double boxed). The fins were all perfect, but one of the plastic mounts was cracked. I send now for an exchange.
- After about 2 weeks, Lexus Parts Now informed me the item was backordered. I now opt for a full refund instead of an exchange.
- I place an order through Park Place Lexus for another OEM part. After placing the online order, I call the parts guy and ask them to "pay special attention to packaging". This item arrived today. Fins were mostly good, but the top of the radiator was dented inwards by about an inch.
Thinking my next step is to order one from Koyo. I have one in my miata, and the quality is fantastic. All this to say, these radiators aren't easy to replace. Mishimoto where are you?
