Hey legends!
I’ve been chasing a coolant leak for a while now and need some help.

- Losing alot coolant (have to fill up every 2-3 days)
- Leaking right near oil sump and directly under starter motor (for reference)
- Intermittent: only happens ‘sometimes’ i.e the leak will randomly appear some days
- No apparent leak marks near front of engine (radiator, hoses etc.) and hoses seem in good condition

Hopefully someone can help!
Cheers

Does it leak while idling?
If you answer no then rev her up and hold the revs for a while so that the water pump gets everything moving. Betting its a hose which only leaks at high rpm.
The hose from this location is 5/8" and easy to source if you cannot get a Toyota part.
If you need to add custom bends you can always purchase spring wound hose adapters. I just did this to my HDJ81 which has the identical hose to your 1hz.
Thats a good call! She’ll leak after a good drive following high rpms once engine is shut off but will test that theory tomorrow. Which hose did you replace and where was it?

Pic of springy things!
These are moldable. Other models are available, or insert into a larger piece of hose.
