The diesel torpedo heater that's in the pic will get it to about 90*. I have a smaller propane one that will keep it around 70*.Very cool, can you get it up to a good painting temp with the booth and a heater?
SOR but you can get them from any hardware storeLooking good. I am also slowly working on “Patina Queen” our 71 Spring Green 40. Can you tell me where you got the bolts for the rear engine/trans mounts? Your look new and I need some. Thx Mark

Thank you.
Exactly what I am in for in a few weeks. Any tips? I am guessing you put new motor mounts on the rear sill part too? Looks like you did a fantastic job!Well, today I decided it was time to get after these rear corners. I've been dreading them since I bought the panels. Took about 3 hours and they turned out pretty nice. Started finish welding everything and ran out of .023 wire so had to call it a day.

Yeah all new body bushings. As far as the corners go, take your time I tried to use as little of the patch panel as I could because this truck is not getting painted. I will paint and sand areas to match the patina as best I can. It's really not as hard as you think. I cut the bad areas out then clamped the whole patch panel on and traced the cut on the inside. Cut the patch out a little fatter and worked my way to the perfect fit.Exactly what I am in for in a few weeks. Any tips? I am guessing you put new motor mounts on the rear sill part too? I am hoping it will be pretty strait forward. Ooops yeah I meant body mounts. I am un sure I will completely repaint mine too. I like the patina so I will probably do the same thing. I think the difficult part on mine is going to be measuring out where to re mount the spare tire and door mounts. Going to make a bunch of templates I think haha.Yeah all new body bushings. Don't have any pics but I can get some if you would like. It got good penetration. Just enough gap to get a good weld.Do you have any pics of how your welds look from inside the wheel well? Curious how the penetration looks. Your new joints might crack if the welds aren't hot enough. How do you plan to treat the welds inside? Looks like you're not removing much paint outside. I get trying to preserve the patina/paint, but wonder if the new joints will fail? I'm wading into the same next step on my '69 so watching your progress has been very helpful!
