Awesome. Added to my christmas wish list....

Single rear door? And no windshield hinges?

I wonder what year frame it would fit.

I like the head liner and rear door.

Yea, but it looks like the windshield does not fold down. Maybe just needs hinges?

It would be a great body for a rusty bj40 from the great white north.

I like it too but what to do with gas filler on the wrong side. Would hate to have to do any thing to the tub other paint and bolt on pieces. Most this were diesels right?

I think my better half might think this is just a little out of the price range she was thinking of for a holiday gift:frown:

You can bolt on the US style windshield hinges if you want, and change the wiper system design. TIG weld the hole for the fuel door, and put your wherever you want. It will fit any year frame but is best for 79 and up. Super cool, I want to keep it but loosing storage space!

I think by the floor it would work on a 79 or later frame but who knows. Plus if you look at the plates where the windshield hinges go there are no bolts on the side like the hinges have.

Very cool Jonathan...a left over from Toyota? :)

or

did you import it after...The Tub is a very new bandi...they didnt put the tank on that side till like the last 2 years it was offered.

X2 79 and up frame would work

Jonathan am i right that the tub has the side hindge bolts holes but not the windshield frame?

I kinda recall that someplace.

the wipermotors you may be able to just use early syle wiper motor...but...it would be mounted on the bottom...I bet the hole distances are very close also...or...the even earlyer single wipermotor on either side would work even better.

the bandi had the motor mounted under the dashboard

Talk about a true example of unobtainium!!

The verbage eludes to the fact that its well over $8500 UDS. Cool but that means a lot more. $8500+ would be a heck of a downpayment on something new. All in priorities I guess. Anyone heard about this being a down economy?

One could prolly legally import a whole driveable unmolested Bandeirante from SA for the kind of reserve it will take to part with that piece. My guess is $10K+

A used 2000-20001 Bandie is very hard to find, even in Brazil. The prices are quite high, especially now with the US dollar being worthless. When this assembly could be bought, direct from the plant, they were $23,500 plus shipping. I found that was actually cheap when compared to the cost for all the restoration efforts on the average old 40, and I ended up with a new assembly of factory quality. I tried to import these for sale for a while, and sold a few, before they decided to close the plant. I then pulled some favors with friends at Toyota to import one last batch, which included this body. This was one of the last made, cooked up weeks before the wrecking ball showed up and tore the plant down..... . I hate to sell this body but I am loosing the storage space. Ideally one of my lunatic clients will buy it and have me build a custom on our new coil chassis, with a 55oHP LS2 or an IForce 5.7. Maybe 2x4 with vette independent suspension, or up high on Dynatrac axles or ?

Aren't they starting to manufacture these again in Brazil? New factory?

I would like to know more about the International 2.8 diesel in at least one Icon. I know that they are popular retrofits in Landys, and they are reportedly mechanically controlled. Group buy material right there.
