Thanx for adding to this thread Aldino. Great pics!

Aldino,

It looks like that 60 series high roof was a RHD at one time. Do you have any photos of the conversion?

Josh

Great pics Andino,

I will post some here as well, but it seems to me that you have got all the bases covered.

Adventurous greetings,

Karin-Marijke is very happy with her new office.

Hotel Oberland in La Paz is filling up quickly as the dry season is progressing. Notice we are the only non white vehicle.

I got myself a plank on the bonnet. So that we are not cracking the new paint when climbing on the roof all the time.

So these are the old 14 volt glow plugs. Two of them have exploded and the remaining two are burnt severely. That is why she started so very poorly the last few times. Raw power starting in the cold! When we did a compression test and the motor was on the floor, we did the most stupid thing we could do: we glowed her with 24 volt direct. Now I know where all those coils and transistors are good for.

I think I have a few favorite feature: the pictures displayed on the inside! What a nice office you guys have!

Great idea on the board over the hood. I like that.

Dan

haha.. yes indeed those pictures, drawings and postcards on the cork there are great. Those are our memory displays. Images of family and friends but also postcards from places along the road as wel as children's drawings we get from newly acquired little friends. Karin-Marijke every so often makes changes and keeps shifting things around, so it every 6 months or so we have a new interior.

the "plank step" is brilliant in its simplicity! love it. This is my all time favorite thread, what a marvelous adventure. thank you so much for sharing with us.

I would buy a "LandCruising Adventure" tee-shirt, do you have a website to sell goodies, to help support your travels? Admitedly, you would have to have a third party involved for warehousing stock, and shipping orders, but nowadays, there are companies that produce such trinkets, and drop ship to customers for you. not trying to run your show, just throwing out ideas.

No t-shirts. But on our website you will find postcards for sale and I just made a new calendar that will become available in October.

I don't know if there would be people out there willing to buy a t-shirt? But I am willing to design anything if that turns on smiles for everybody.

I had the same idea on Patches, but I've always been one for making things more complicated...

Our aluminium plate fits exactly in the u-profile we glued in the sides.

So our side table hangs sturdy with only two cords.

The little beast among great others.

We're testdriving again for a longer period. Lots of dust and cacti.

Big cacti here in the Bolivian outback.

How has that rear tank worked out Coen? Do you have a photo of how the door turned out?

That table is a great idea; I hope you don't mind if I copy it.

Josh

Great rebuild thread.

That last photo under the cactus in Bolivia should be a calendar shot. Actually, you should consider putting together a calendar of such shots from your assorted travels, not just the rebuild.

That's a good idea. I will work on that.
