Haven't fixed it yet :(

Wow, i replaced the rear quarters on mine, behind the mudflaps and below the body line. That was a couple days work and made me reconsider my life choices. There are some guys on here that put me to shame! I will put up pics when i figure out how to do it best without photobucket...

Here are some things I do NOT want to deal with right now. Rust coming through the gutter rails ( need to reseal), the A-Pillar has rusted through, I think through the gutter rail (but could also be from the windshield weatherstrip.

Also need to get rust sorted out on the doors (especially on the bottom at the pinch seams).

I've got some leaks coming from a few small places on the roof, 2 or 3 holes about the size of a dime or smaller. Also got the usual along the back lifting window in the top corner. Eventually I want to get the rust cut out and repaired, but right now I've got other things to put money into lol Does anyone have any recommendations for some sort of patching chemical or something? The headliner is mostly torn so I can access through the cab too.

Gorilla tape works in a pinch. ;) Scratch that, I’ll pull off the paint. Globe of clear silicone and a penny or other coin.

No place is safe except the oil dip stick... Upper and lower hatches like to rust, Battery boxes disintegrate from boiled batteries and then take the core support as a prisoner of war. Under the door sills like to trap moisture and rust. Might be obvious to some folks, but try to follow all your hard fuel and brake and heater lines to under the body as those puppies can get very brittle. Also look under and around anything that was bolted to the vehicle after it left the factory. Chances are its hiding rust. Hopefully I touched on some areas that hadnt been mentioned.
Also for what its worth, I think @OSS mentioned boiled linseed oil at one point. Applied it on a cloth to small rust spots on my daily driver and they have not grown a bit since. Just touch it up every 6 month or so.
