I hope she's worth it.
How *can* she be if she doesn't want to go to Moab?

Sorry guys. I'm out. An opportunity has come up and I've decided to pursue that. -o-

I figured there was a skirt involved.![]()
This group is just too predictable.![]()
Welcome Dave - glad to hear that you'll join us in Moab. You'll have a blast!
Not to worry if your truck is stock - you'll get all kinds of ideas for mods from this group. The real issue is figuring out how to pay for your "wish list."

Will there be stuff for newbies? We are not 100% sure on a go for the weekend, but seriously considering it as our first outing with HD Cruisers.
I wouldn't consider myself a newbie but I drive a stock 60 so you could plan to run whatever I run. Apparently, a lot of the trails have easy and hard routes. Depending on who goes, there might be a couple options each day - easy and hard. I'm probably going, as long as I can figure out why my truck won't idle and get the leaking axle seal replaced. I might just bring a couple quarts of gear lube with me and not worry too much about the axle seal.
Hey guys - been watching this post and I am really tempted to head out to Moab too, but I can't get there until Friday night or Saturday early AM. Will that be a problem, gotta teach a class on Friday. Also - fairly new to the game - got some mods to the FJ Cruiser, but have never done Moab trails. Well there be stuff for newbies? We are not 100% sure on a go for the weekend, but seriously considering it as our first outing with HD Cruisers.
Hmmm.... If you have to pull the axle to replace the seal you might as well spring for an Aussie Locker while you're in there... $250...

Very tempting. If I'm only doing one axle at a time, would it be better in the front or rear? How would that mess with my steering response, having the cogging feature going nuts when turning on the city streets and in parking lots?
put it in the front you never know it's there on the road. Put it in the back and you do. That pull up front works much better than pushing from the rear in many cases, but then you are putting all that stress on the suckfields. Rear axles take it much better.
Just booked a tent campsite at the KOA. I'm driving up on Thursday (4th) and leaving Monday (8th). Bringing the whole crew, dogs and all. Let's work on the schedule for the runs.
