Last day of wheeling in Colorado did The Devils Punch Bowl above Crested Butte. Definately got me ready for anything Moab could throw at me! Off camber,

leaning toward a 1-2,000 foot drop straight down to several spectacularly fast moving waterfalls! Nowhere to pass oncoming traffic!

Still at home

since I just took a wild stab in the dark to elect to stay in cortez, CO overnight.

? for those who have towed vehicles into Moab, UT from the south...like hwy 40. Is the best route to just hit 191 and head north? I took the senic route and have hit some nice hills in north NM and durango CO...etc not the greatest for towing...a non issue if you are simply driving. I assume hwy 191 might not be as bad?

Comments?

Burning through fuel a bit faster than expected; just stopped past Boise to transfer fuel from aux tanks. Maybe I just had a little less to start with than I thought. ½ tank indicated on departure, but maybe that's not too bad for 700-800 miles travelled.

Edit: It was probly right. Comes out to about 5-6mpg, which is likely due to the big hills and higher speeds.

495 miles to destination.

Utah just welcomed me.
