I will get the rest tacked up tomorrow and pull it off for final welding. Love the kit so far. Comes with great instructions and the design is solid 👌

Think this is the first documented COR 100 bumper kit. I've considered going this route but after a lot of welding on a previous 3 year project I get serious sinus infections from after welding. Looking forward to the final results and your thoughts on the kit.

Let’s hear more about this project?! Haha

What size welder are you hitting this project with?
3/16" is a bit thick for the little Miller 125 at the shop I now work at.
Back home we had a massive 250 amp that did it all.

Cool to see one as a puzzle. And for the welder, I know you said you're just tacking, but a couple of spots where you've ground the weld off, you can see the metal seam. Going to want some more penetration for sure.

Very long story, short. I was building a T1N sprinter into a full-time camper with 4x4 ford F250/350 1 ton axles.
Had lots of rust throughout as well that I was cutting out and welding in lots of new metal.
Nice I’ve always wanted a sprinter van for camp trips but it’ll never happen

I’m using a Lincoln 180 with .35 wire. Voltage turned all the way up.

There’ll be lots of penetration 😉

Well just finished the tack up. Took about 2 hours. Very happy with the fitment! I started by back gouging the seams on the center section and welding them because I won’t be able to access that with the “wings” tacked on

Next I had to elongate the slotted holes for the frame brackets cause they were off the center section at least a 1/4”. Carbide bit on my die grinder made short work of that.
