@Yard Guy I had the water back up in our current house on the first day while we were cleaning the upstairs tub. Wife said “this tub is draining too slow. We’ll need a new one”. (Yeah, there’s a lot wrong with her process.). I went downstairs to find that it was overflowing out of the basement toilet. Plumber came out and then I discovered that the PO had at some point replaced the section of buried outside pipe that is supposed to have the cleanout with one that lacked a cleanout. Lots of digging on that one. Fed out 175’ of auger snake before we hit the roots growing through the 1970 pipes.
Oh yeah, we’re also wired with aluminum wiring. I’ve been slowly working on that one for 9 years now! PO even used NOS Alum wiring when he finished the basement years after Alum fell out of code. Still wondering where he managed to find 500’ of it then.
At least he left lots of early 80’s porn vids and mags hidden in the crawl space! Rewards for my efforts, I guess.
Oh, and I’ve found lots of shallowly buried, rotting plastic bags of various ammunition all over the place, starting when we had to dig out for a new drain cleanout!
I guess that retired nuclear engineers don’t know how to work on houses.

Oh, we just had all the plumbing and electrical issues we found in the home inspection done the week before. It has been a couple weeks of Hell. This thread is about crap. Lots and lots of crap!!!

For a brief period after they changed how MUD looked, and modified the emojis, you could CURSE! I, for one, was ***cing excited!
I find it funny that even in PM's you get censored.
EDIT: I spelled the above censored word with the c and k reversed...
