I have shipped out over a dozen of the LX570 inserts. Please post pics of them installed so I can use them on my website. My pics suck and are only the insert in the OEM cup holder but NOT in the actual vehicle. Would really like to update with better pics.

Ordered mine a couple days ago for my 2011 LX. I'll throw up a picture once I get it for sure.

Perfect!

This entry is a bit off topic but not completely. It isn't about the cup holders up front. But I have found that the 4 cup holders along the rear windows (I guess for the 3rd row people) fit an 18oz Bai drink bottle (not the tea bottle which for some reason is smaller). So when we head out for a long day I'll fill up 4 of those bottles with water as refills if our primary water bottles run empty. Just thought I would pass that along.

This just reminded me of the other thing (aside from the turning circle) I hate about my Lexus RX300 is the awful cup holders. The BMW crowd uses these and I'm sure that they have a size that can be made to fit the LC. I've actually not bought a car because my Hydroflask/KleanKanteen didn't fit the cupholders.

Any thoughts about making a LC version that isn't cut down the middle? If so, I'd buy another. Seeing the LX version in a single piece looks a little cleaner compared to two IMO.

The split option is quite a bit more functional so I went that route. If you have a large Hydroflask or Nalgene then you can remove one side and it will fit in the OEM hole and still allow for a standard size cup to be securely inserted on the other side. A single piece design means you have to remove the entire insert if you have one of those large sports bottles. I really wanted to avoid the single piece design on the LX570 option but since the hole was so shallow I had to go that route for added stability. I still plan to release a complete drop in unit that totally replaces the OEM cup holder insert. That will be a single piece design with removable inserts for size adjustability. Should have that out some time in mid to late July.

Roger that 👍

A few weeks ago I reached out to @bhicks to see if he would be interested in making a drop in, replacement cup holder for my ‘08 LC. It was nice to see the inserts he made for the factory cup holder but I wanted more. My hope was to fit a large mouth HydroFlask with a rubber boot in the cup holder. The large HydroFlask barely fits into the factory cup holder without the rubber boot, no dice with the boot on. After a little back and forth, I sent Brad my center console and he was able to work his magic!

One side has a small cup holder and the other should be able to fit a large HydroFlask. He made a shim to size the larger cup holder down if one wants to hold a small bottle in that position. Brad designed the two small holes for pens, large rectangle as a phone holder (0.7”x4”) and the small rectangle for a Leatherman.

He’s currently on vacation so I’m sure he’ll update this post when he’s able to. Thanks for your hard work, Brad!

THAT...is the full unit replacement I’ve been wishing for and discussed some time back!!

If he can produce more just like that?
I’m in for sure...the sooner the better! :)
